By melting all the pieces (11+1 blend) together, you get a wax mixture that works perfectly in all conditions.

For an extremely durable mixture for even the longest rides and races, melt the black additive piece with four pieces of base wax (4+1 blend). The remaining seven blocks of wax can be used as a cleaning pre-treatment wax to keep the
4+1 blend clean and maintain its high performance for longer. With the two-stage wax treatment option in one package, you get everything you need for optimal chain lubrication.

To put it shortly, the 4+1 blend gives class-leading performance in dry-conditions, while the 11+1 does the same in wet conditions.

Additional additives bloc can be bought separately , so you can fine tune your own blend!

• Clean the chain carefully from factory grease or previous oil. A careful cleaning is essential for good wax adhesion.
• Melt the wax at low heat in a cooking pot, dedicated wax melter or crock pot. The wax melts below 70°C. Never exceed 100°C, or heat the wax on open fire or max setting. There is a risk of self-ignition if the wax heats to 250°C!
• Put a chain or multiple chains in the wax. Stir carefully, so the additives will penetrate the chain completely. Let the chains be in the wax for some time, so they will warm up to the same temperature as the wax.
• Lift the chain  to cool down. If the chain links are stiff after cooling down, the wax has adhered well. Break down the links to make installation on the bike easier. The wax can be stored in the wax pot, waiting to be reheated. Enjoy your well lubricated chain!
• When the chain becomes noisy, repeat the waxing process. With one pack of wax, you can wax the as long as there is enough wax left. To keep the performance of the wax good, it is recommended to replace the wax earlier, because any dirt entering to the wax pot from re-waxing used chains will gradually degrade the lubrication performance.
